If you are Canadian then you will wonder what 'gutters' are. In Canada we call them 'eavestroughs' which really, is a much more elegant word, I think. Gutters brings to mind ideas like "get your mind out of the gutter", when really one should only be thinking in terms of "get your leaves out of the eavestrough".
BUT. The exciting thing about MY eavestroughs/gutters is that now I can plant something in the front bed without fear of it being pounded by the from-the-roof-waterfall that slammed down on the dirt when it rained, creating a crater from which not even the most intrepid plants could emerge with any degree of dignity.
